I graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. Our mascot was the Seminole Indian and our school colors were orange and black, just like Lamar.
I attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and later completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education Pre-K thru 6 from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas in 1997.
In addition to my Bachelor of Science Degree, I acheived National Board Teacher Certification in 2006.
My teaching career began as a Title 1 aide in 1987 at Knoxville School which was part of the Lamar School District Upon completing my degree, I began teaching Kindergarten there for three years. I moved to Lamar School in 2001 teaching Kindergarten and have been here ever since!
I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, Ike. He and I have two children. A son and daughter who graduated from Lamar School. They are both married and have children giving us our daughter in law, son in law, and 10 grandchildren, some who attend Lamar School.
My hobbies include baking, arts and crafts, spending time with my family, and reading the Bible.
